Well I'm going to go on my first ever beach hunt in the morning

I just got home from work and my beach scoop was waiting for me at my door. It will be a definite learning experience. I wound up getting an adjustable handled stamped metal sand scoop. I'm not expecting to find anything worth much (maybe a few coins), I just want to get a feel for sand sifting. This was the primary reason that I wanted a metal detector. Oh well, enough said, wish me luck...

Good luck. I have all the tools for the beach but have only tried one small freshwater strip. It is fun and I was surprised by the depth I was detecting to.
