Well I'm finally back on line and screaming along very nicely..... :super:

I got my new Dell XPS 400 Friday night but could not assemble it until Saturday morning and that is just what I did. I spent all day Saturday and all day Sunday reconfiguring my new toy to how I wanted it and not how Dell thought I wanted it. (Way to much free junk that I'd never use in my lifetime.):throw: First CD I threw out was the AOL one!!!

I replaced a PII 300 Mhz machine that I purchased in 97. To say this machine screems is an under statement. 2.8 GHz, Dual String Processor with a boatload of memory (Insert Tim Taylor GRUNT HERE).

Ok, so all you Paint Shop Pros out there hows about sending me your secrets on how to "modify" photos of all our friends here. So I can begin to get my feet wet. I have the Dell edition of Paint Shop Pro Studio so I hope that is good enough to enter into the frey.

Fire away, I'm ready to play.................

Hey Butch ... I don't use PSP but it is an ok program.
Notice they didn't knock each other over to let you in on the secrets....

First make a folder on your desk top for this .. I call mine "crap".
Now go to some profiles and right click and save the photos to your "crap" folder.
Inside the crap folder make a new folder called "finished crap".

It's simple from here... use PSP to open a pic from the crap folder and practice changing it. When you save the changed pic make sure you save it in the second folder and you won't over-write the original in the "crap" folder. You'll want the original for the next time.

practice cut and paste... use the lasso...
I don't know if PSP will let you do layers like the "Adobe ImageReady" which I use. If it does, learn how to use them and you can do just about anything.

EDIT ---- whoops... I forgot something real important... ALWAYS resize your photo to make it smaller ... 400 to 600 wide at the most.

Good luck.. hope this helped a little..
mike

my daughter can ride anything...
