Now all you need is a ticket to Alaska
and when you get there set yourself up for business. Its too
hot in Arizona.

Huh-uh! I've heard mosquitoes in Alaska are the size Vultures. Been know to gang up on unwary prospectors and carry them off. Only defense is to wear a 400 lb diver's belt. Besides if I went there I know I'd fall head over heals in love with "Sarah". :cheekkiss: So I'd better just stay here. Thanks for advise, though.

Fly in to Sacramento

Rent a AWD Tyota Celica.

Drive north to the American River and follow it up into the mountains. Access the river at sweeps and curves, hed n
ortheast and over towards Placerville. Check out the feeer streams and creekbeds. No one really knows where but there's Gold sourcing from those mountains and Quartz and granite will lead you to possible sources. Make sure you ask if your on private property.. Careful of rattlers.

I've doen this a few times came back with a couple of film cannisters of dust and minscule nuggets of no consequence but it was fun...

Wow! Thanks for advice. I don't think a police whistle would phase a rattler :ranting: Man, I've heard the rattlers were so bad in the old west, miners returning to their claims from the saloons, took to wearing stove pipes on their legs, I heard it sounded like like a rock drummer playing a high-hat from the strikes. WOW :yikes: Well I guess I'll have to work the watersheds, flowing into the Kings, San Joaquin and other rivers here in the central california waterways. Wish me luck!
