well I went and got the v3

Well went out and bought the v3 today its a left over so it will have to go back when I have a chance to send it in for the v3i upgrade but the price was right so I took it . I do have a question for everyone though they are offering that package for 99.00 with the case and pin pointer hat and headphones (I don't need I got the wireless) is it a deal or should I save the 99 and get the Garrett pro ?
 
Congrats on your new detector. I'd get the Garrett pro, I think it's a much better and longer lasting probe. :beers:
 
And while I'm at whats everyone using to carry and store the v3 my old detector had a hard case fisher 1280x are you using the whites bag or is there something better
 
How is the dx1 I understand there are compatibility issues ?

I love my DFX and my V3 but I wouldn't be without my Garrett Pro Pointer. I've never used the DX-1 so I cannot compare them. However I just got rid of a headphone cord with my wireless phones and it would just be another cord to contend with. Not only that, sometimes my son will go along and dig the target while I hunt for the next find and of course he is using the pointer while I'm searching.

You will love the V3. I too need to send mine in for the upgrade but I cannot part with it.
