Is to find yourself a copy of the book Taking A Closer Look At Metal Detector Discrimination, by Robert C. Brockett. It is an outstanding read for anyone. But is specifically written about the discrimination characteristics of the 6000 series. They are available from many dealers, as well as online. I bought mine for around $10, shipped. HH Randy
i echo clondike clad's sentiments exactly!..arguably the best coin sniper i have ever used in 32 years of hunting!.put a 5.3 black max on it,and don't take it off!..absolutely rips silver out of the ground
this detector with the analog meter is "dead nuts" accurate on coins!
an absolute pleasure to use,and is the closest detector to a"do it all" machine i have seen in the field,especially with the superb coil selection available!..it has great depth,terrific separation.(with the right coil on board!),just a great hunter period!..you will be well served!..best of luck!
