Well I WAS going detecting today until it started snowing....

So I decided to go out and see how the horses were handling the snow. I can tell you they like their new shed. When they're not out grazing the stubbled grass, and trying to clip off the last quarter inch, they are in the shed sleeping.

While I was out, I walked around to the front of the house, and took a picture of it in the snow. I much prefer the green leaves, flowering dogwoods and blooming magnolias, but I guess there's a season for everything. The kids went out and built snowmen (it has snowed about 3" later). Actually, my girls don't build snowmen, they build snow horses, then sit on them and ride them.

Yesterday after we took care of all the leaves in the front yard, and I mowed the grass for the last time this season, the girls came in and decorated the living room, putting up the Christmas tree and hanging the stockings. They had a lot of fun. In my bachelor years, from 18 to 38, I never put up a Christmas tree, but its fun to watch the kids enjoy the excitement this time of year.

Hello Vernon,

That's definitely, a picture postcard, room sir. That would make an elegant Christmas card. Call Hallmark.

Best wishes,

The Nutty Teacher.
