The first day with the new machine.... And it works :clapping: LOL I didn't think I was going to be able to go today, I had to move my girlfriend out of her apartment. Don't worry she isn't moving in with me, I would never get to hunt ;)
After she took up most of the day I came home to relax, after getting on findmall for a minute I was motivated to go!

I knew exactly where I wanted to take the SE and see if I till knew how to work one of these bad boys.. I found a old school built in the 20's about a month ago.. I have been hunting it pretty hard with the E-trac. The entire field is fill dirt except for a strip about 40 feet wide on the far south side.. I had already pounded this spot pulling a ton of wheat's and a few silver mercs. But that last three times I had went to the field I've come up empty handed. Hunting both in conductive settings as well as two tone ferrous.

I started at the same spot as I always do.. At first I dug a few pieces of iron trying to get a feel for the machine.. Then I cam across that deep warble / fluty sound that no other machine makes but an Explorer.. I dug down and pulled a deep green wheatie out of the hole. After I covered it back up I rechecked and got a null. I was starting to get excited, IT WAS ALL COMING BACK!!!

I moved like a snail and listened close. It wasn't long till I had a handful of wheat's, one Canadian penny, and two silver dimes..
I cant believe I had missed the coins before. I am not saying that the E-trac wouldn't have found those coins.. I guess some people are better with one machine than another.. One thing is for certain, the warble you get on a deep coin with the SE, I have yet to hear the same sound on my E-trac.. I have put some hours in on that bad boy, and it is an amazing machine.. I think the DEEP DEEP coins I am mistaking for iron I don't know, probably user error. In the near future I am going to mark a bunch of targets with the SE and check them with the E-trac. Then do the same starting with the E-trac..
Thanks for looking, I hope I can pull some better finds next time to make a more exciting post..

Just like ridin' a bicycle:thumbup:

Might be a bicycle with squawkin' wheels:rolleyes: and unstable spokes:smoke:...but once you get 'er rollin'....she makes a pretty unmistakable sound which most of us love:clapping:

Nice finds DoubleD.

I bet your hair tingled when you heard the sweet SE warble for the first time over the silver:beers:

I have the same opinion as you brother...the E-Trac rocks...but the Explorers rocks...WITH the kind of music I like.:clapping:

Thanks dan!! Hope you get hunt again soon!

Haha thanks Bryce! I like the way you put it:thumbup: hope to see some finds from you soon brother!
