I went detecting this morning at a local swimming hole and within 20 mins I found a silver mothers day ring that had her two sons names on it. I continued on hunting and found the normal clad and lead sinkers and my gut tells me to go back and search the area where I had found the ring and wouldn't you know I get another sweet sounding signal and upon retreival it was a ladies class ring with a name engraved in it. I decide after this to head home and do some research to try and find the lady who had lost the class ring no luck at all I even contacted the school and they had no info! So I post it on Face Look on a local trader site on there and someone knows her on there and come to find out she has two sons with the same names as the ones on the mothers day ring. So both rings belong to the same lady. She was tickled to death to get them back and it was a awesome feeling to give them back to her. I was using my AT-gold disc 1 iron reject 31 1 bar from max sensitivity. Both rings were around 6 inches deep.

Good for you 88, I know that exact feeling you had, congrats and cheers on making someones day a great one.

Good deed well done. Wow, what are the odds of both rings belonging to the same person. Good job locating her. HH jim tn

Yes it feels great to find something so special to someone and return it to them her husband said when she realized she had lost them she cried a very long time knowing she would never see them again. Thanks for the comments guys!! :garrett: AT-Gold detectors are awesome!!

Nice story! The Garrett AT Gold is a great relic and jewelry machine. Specially in all metal mode!

That's the first two-ringer return I've heard of! Well done!! :clapping:

You know the old saying it's better to give than receive. I got the best of both worlds I received them when I found them which was exciting then giving them back was just as exciting!!
