Well, I thought I was over the bug...

Been reading tab's posts about the Cibola and then an article on a field test where several costly high end detectors were tested and the Cibola was the only one to give ANY indication there was a target. Not a good signal, mind you-just a little beep. I can't stand the temptation any longer. First, I wanted to see if changing the frequencies actually affected the g/b. Secondly, I wanted to try switching from disc to pinpointing (a/m) and try signal comparison techniques that Monte wrote an article about. Thirdly, I MAY add another tab check switch like I did on the Silver umax and call it the Tebola! Surely this will be my LAST detector:crylol:

Last? I bet not, lol.

Once you get into experimenting and want to see results first hand...................there's no vaccine for the bug.
It also makes the next hunt interesting, you have added motivation to go hunt and it won't matter if you don't find that silver coin or gold ring.
You want to see the results of your tinkering..............................

Sven, I sure wished that I had your talent at doing mods. I can't wait to see what you do to the Cibola. My modded Cibola sure has been good to me.
