It was just to see how bad the lights were. And they were bad. 1600 ISO and it was tough getting up to a shutter speed of 400. Here's one of the shots I just took. No idea who he was, didn't wait to see his face, etc. But it did let me see what was possible. I have quite a few pictures I liked. I'm beginning to think that in certain rinks I'm going to have to get a 1.8 or 2.0 lens even if it isn't telephoto just to deal with the lighting.
The white balance was very strange. Used a Pringles lid aiming at light for a dingy yellow picture. Custom color balanced to it and the whites looked great to me...

I'll limit my critiques to just one. <img src="/metal/html/wink.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=";)"> But I posted your photo plus one that I adjusted the levels on to brighten it a bit and bring out some of the color. Your original photo was a just a little dull, colorwise that is.
