I ordered me an AT Pro this week. Just had to have it. It is suppose to be here tomorrow (Friday). I been debating on getting one for awhile. Decided to go for it this week. Getting the most up to date one from Bart at BIG Boys Hobbies. He gave a great deal. I highly recommend him.

I been using an Ace 250 which I like a lot for my first detector. I will keep it for a back up and to let friends use if we go hunting together. I think the At Pro will be a good step up for me. Most of my hunting is in city parks and around ball field with an occasional small fresh water beach thrown in. I hope to find some gold rings to help pay for it but don't seem to be to many people lose the real rings around here. I like the idea that it is water proof so I can still hunt if it starts raining. I had to quit 3 time earlier this year because of rain and if I had a water tight unit I could of kept on hunting because there was no lightning and I was really into the hunt.

It been hot around here lately so I will have to tough it out and go out this weekend for awhile when I get it. I know I will have to learn this one all over again. I was getting pretty good with the Ace. I can learn fast but my memory isn't as good as it use to be, so it will take me awhile to learn all the different sounds.

I will post pics of my finds when I get some from the AT Pro.

Since you are already a Garrett owner I think you are going to really enjoy stepping up to an AT Pro. It is a great machine...I love mine and proudly demo it to anyone thats interested in seeing how it performs. I have hunted several times in the rain...its nice to not have to run for cover if the weather turns on you. Congrats on your decision and welcome to the AT Pro family! Keep us posted on your transition to the new machine and if you have any questions post them here. Great group of guys and gals in this forum that are eager and willing to offer their help. Good luck, good health, and happy hunting!!

[size=large]if nothing else you will see an increase in depth over the ace. so if there's deeper targets in your hunting area your going to start finding them as well as the shallow ones. if you're not familiar with 15 khz then you'll notice more bottle caps also. i'm told the atp is good at iding them though.
you're on your way to your first million in gold.

16penny I got mine today. I also did a lot of debating. The first deal I made went bad, still haven't recovered all my money yet but I couldn't wait any longer
I just hope it gets wet here in Texas and cools off in at least 6 weeks so I can give it a good workout maybe by then I can learn how to use it
Good Luck Joe

Can't go wrong with ordering from Big Boys,
Also the AT Pro is good to say the least.
Actually I have yet to see a better machine.
I have only seen a few higher end machines tho.

AT Pro meets and beats a lot of metal detectors depth wise costing 2 x as much AND it can be used as a water machine too! There is absolutely no other deal as good as this out there.
