Got the cash but dont know what detector to pick?? got it down to 3 .. the M.L Safari .. Fisher F70 .. and the Whites M6 HELP!

None of them could be right for you. Don't rush into it. One may be right for you, but don't let some one else tell you what is right.

Oh, by the way, I love my F-70!!

go for the f-75!..you will be glad you did!

Interesting choices. For the price of a new ML Safari, you can get a nice used Explorer SE with a Pro coil. Never used a Fisher before and I've only used a Whites Spectrum Eagle. From the looks of your choices, I'd have to bet your going to be coin hunting in which case I would recommend a Minelab. :minelab:

And in a sense they are. The best one is the one in your hand.

Depth- Minelabs and Fisher F70- F75's

Discrimination - Garretts and Whites

All around no TID - Tesoros can't be beat

Theres others T2's tecknetics on, and on, you have to decide what you are detecting for, where your going to hunt, and metered or no metered.

Expense-.Ace 250 a little over $200
Whites a little over $500.00- for decent detector
Minelab A little over $600.00 to up to $1,500.00

Check them all read the forums, see a dealer if possible.

Here's my dead horse to beat: If you buy a Minelab, you help to profit a non-American company. No wages paid to American workers, no R&D money to an American concern. Your choice, of course.

I'd tend to agree with XLT's generalizations.

Of the three, I'd opt for the F70. It's light weight and is a powerhouse or pussycat, depending on how you set it up.
