Just got the machine two days ago, so of course I had to try it out. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ME!!!!! So yesterday I went to a park where I've found some oldies, and the only oldie I found was a 1930 merc. It's a lot different than the XLT as far as sounds. Gonna have to re-train my ears. I'm gonna need a little work on my pinpointing with that big 11" DD, but I've got a 8x6 SEF coming which should make it a little easier. I see potential in it. Anyways see you all tonight!!!!

Congratulations Nathan, that is a top notch detector for getting that deep silver. :clapping: It looks like you might get a chance to log some hours next week before the ground freezes.

You don't need to use pinpoint with the stock coil. Just wiggle it over the target and back it off until you don't hear the target anymore. It will be right in front of your coil. Congrats on the new machine!

What kind of tweeking have you done with yours? I've noticed you've been producing massive amounts of silver.

I use Andy sabisch coin program, deep on fast on and auto +3. Your numbers won't change as fast on the screen but deep silver will sound the same as a coin close to the surface. If you're in an area with a lot of surface clad you can switch deep off if you like. Majority of my dimes come in 10-22 40-46. I usually don't dig by numbers I dig by sound. Usually when I pop the plug and use my sunray probe the numbers will be a lot better. Closer to what the targets usually read.

Thanks!! I'll give it a try.

Very nice Christmas gift and with the looks of the weather report, you may be using it again soon. Middle 40's. Hurray!

Good luck with the new machine. I really like mine and will start using some new programs with it this coming spring.
