[/img] Only had 4 hours today nice day went to the fairgrounds in my home town been there a million times never found anything but a couple of wheat's.this is not my fairgrounds I always go to but had to try it where I found some wheat's with the exp 2.Dug Lot's of clad then I get a 12.32 both ways at 3 inches thinking to my self another zincet but was still to low for a zincet anyhow I dig and out comes a Indian all my Indians come in at 12.35 this is not normal so I look at the date 1871 a semi key date I almost crapped my pants. This coin is in really nice shape might make 300 dollars but I don't have it in my collection so I well keep it.This is the same area I pounded with the exp2 many times because it was the only place I had found wheat's at this was with the 5 inch 8 inch and stock coil. Then I dug a 12.31 another Indian I'm like what no date on this one but can see the wreath on the back. Then I found a 42 merc 1911 barber dime a 1925 buffalo another nice coin a 1895 v nickel and a wheat. This area has been pounded by me and many others I still can't believe that I pulled these out of there. The soil has to be different here all the Indians I have dug so far about 50 come in at 12.35 now I well have to start digging 12.31 to 12.35anyone else dig Indians this low let me know by the way all these coins were at 3 inches deep the corroded indian on top was 6 feet from the 71 what a differants 6 feet make.sube

Open screen #2 combine ferrous coin 24 fe line at 120hz bin 1 at 1 to 10 at 200hz bin 2 at 10 to 15 at 1000hz bin 3 at 16 to 29 600hz and bin 4 at 30 to 50 at 1000hz works great at hitting nickles .sube

CTX proves itself once again. Were you using the 11" coil? How much iron trash in the area? I mean do you think the coins were previously masked by iron? Also what kind of sensitivity levels are you running at that location?

Very good hunt - congrats.

I had always read that IHs would be 12-35.... then I looked at the vid chart and scanned some of my IHs, Lower than 35 CO for sure. And the #s for a flying eagle was super low. Lowered my highest bin down to 29 in hopes of finding more.

The high tone 10-15 bin for nickles has worked very well improving my Jefferson count indeed.

Atlas I use a 6 inch coil to much junk , almost all coins are masked the 6 go plenty deep for me really don't need the stock coil unless I get in clean ground sube

Nice Sube - great collection of oldies from that FG. I was out at my fave old park this afternoon and got a '71 Injun - not as pretty as yours tho. I run my high tone bucket down to 31 to catch any of those Indians that try to sneak by.
