Well, I guess a ring is a ring and gold is gold.

I MD'ed two places. One was an old house with a very small yard where most of the stuff is from. Six coins and the ring was from a tot lot I took my daughter to tonight. We both like to swing. The ring was flattened when I retrieved it. It is 10 k, .5 grams and I found it 2" from a metal post, 3" down. It hit on foil/nickel. It was a tad jumpy. Yes, It does have initials.

The coins will get clean when they hit the tumbler. Nothing special.

Nice ring John. You need a coin mandrel and a leather hammer. They straighten them right out. Let us know if you can find the owner.

I've found 2 this year and one is beat up and broke.........only worth melt.

It may be small but it is gold and it proves your coil is functioning as well as ever! I like that Jim Beam medal too. Come to think of it, I like Jim Beam!

It ain't no curse. You know how things goes in cycles. Your next five rings might all be gold. That sucker I found tonight is small and is 10k. The big trill I had was finding it so close to that metal pole.

good job john finding gold at tot lots is the best. I"v been having a good run at the lots lately 6 bits of gold in the last 4 months.
I think the ace 250 is the best tot loter out there. hope you get more of that yellow stuff in your finds pouch soon ;)

Congrats John. Even though it's a little worse for the time in the ground, it's still Gold! I'm a bit jealous, as I haven't found one in the last 18 months.
Lazyaussie. You are 100% correct about the Ace's ability around play equipment. If you have the sniper coil, you can locate coins directly under metal and within an inch of uprights, if you tilt it away a bit and engage the pinpoint mode. I have found a $2 coin on my first hunt with it, while the metal above was in direct contact with the top of the coil!
