My weekend was crazy!!! A good buddy of mines wedding was this weekend and he asked me to be one of his grooms man.. So my Friday night and whole day Saturday was taken up with that..
Friday morning I got out for a few.. I went to this school that was built around the 40's or 50's.. But i just found out that across the road there was a school that was standing in the early 1900's. and the school still owned the property.. When i got there Friday the grass was a little tall.. I messed around in the field and ended up pulling 3 wheat's they were only a couple inches deep.. I cant wait till they cut the grass!!!! I walked across the road and went over to the baseball diamond the first target i got was deep and sweet!! Opened up the hole and pulled out a 9 inch Roosevelt dime!! right after some kids decided to play some baseball. So i walked back to the front of the school and started searching around the flag pole.. It wasn't long till a had another piece of silver.. a 1945 merc..
I went back to hunt the field again today but found out the grass was way to high at this point.. So i walked across the road back to the flag pole.. I came around the side of a small tree and got a hard hitting jumpy tone. I opened up the hole put the probe in and she RANG!!! I dug down a little farther and found my first Barber Quarter of the year!! A 1909D It is about time lol It has been a while since i seen one of those come out of one of my holes... Later today i stopped at a local park for a quick hunt,, Right when i was leaving i was heading down a hill towards the jeep and passed a big tree... I got a Shallow Indian hit and pulled a 1899 Indian only hiding about a inch deep :yikes: I was expecting a Zinc penny lol Well The weekend turned out to be a pretty productive.... Lots of partying Saturday night, and digging up some goodies Sunday

You had a great weekend. All I found last weekend was a 1914-D Barber Dime with partial Liberty. It made my trip!. Now go out and dig some more. HH...Jesse.

Thanks Mike

You will get one soon!

Nice finds Derrell. It's been a while since I have found a Barber Quarter. Ought to have a decent shot at finding one in the next couple of months if I can still keep going out every weekend & it doesn't dry out too much here. Right now its too wet in some places & people are having trouble on keeping the grass mowed.

Way to go Derrell!!! looks like a great weekend.

Dude, I have got to get a barber quarter soon.

Keep it up. Love the posts:clapping:
