well i bought a etrack i am hopeing to nock my silver count out of the water i set aten silver goal for this year all the advice you guys can give me sure would help i am switching from tesoro hope to post some etrack silver on here soon thanks

the best advice i can give you is to be patient with it. take it to a park or something that has easy clad targets so you can get a feel for the machine. it doesnt make silver jump out of the ground, relax and dont get frustrated. if you have questions later on we are always here. :beers:

I would suggest Bill_S's trashy park program. You'll need a "Bigger Digger" with the Etrac. I reccomend the Predator Raptor 31.

Please do youreself a favor. GO SLOW. The E trac is 180 degrees from the Tesoros, do not use it like one.

[sup][/sup][sub][sub]This is the #1 piece of advice you will ever get...Once you learn the basics of the numbers on the screen, from then on it is all about the sounds your unit is telling you...Again, it is all about the sound. Once you are familiar with the sound you will have mastered your machine...Herb[/sub][/sub]

"Plant" some coins at different depths and that will help you greatly in learning your swing speed. Run in Auto and Manual and you'll see the difference in speeds for both. Manual you can swing very very slow, Auto you'll need a faster speed. Above all, just go out and hunt and dig all sorts of signals. That's the best teacher.

Take care,

NebTrac

Etrac is one silver slayer and congrats on the purchase. I would leave it in Minelab coins with auto sensitivity & a +3 you may want to up the variability from factory 25 to 28 it really makes the silver sing. Go SLOW like the others said and like Herb said, learn the numbers but LISTEN to those tones. Best of luck!

Took me nearly 4 months to really get comfy with the e-Trac...It will frustrate the heck out of you at first, but hang with it and you will reap the rewards :minelab:
