I figure I love Fisher detectors so much, that I might as well check out the new brand of Fisher/Bounty Hunter and get used to the way of the future for Fisher.

It will hunt deep in your ground. You might even pickup a Chinaman's boot nail :super: Ok...maybe a little exageration going on there

Spend some time in the manual. I think Jeff has the most recent version on PDF.

Can't say as I blame your Mike it's getting a lot of great reviews from all the users. Many run the top machines available in todays market. Even the older users are liking what they have seen in the T2.

Highly recommend the manual, the dig it all for a while process, and the forum for great information about any doubts you have a first.

The greatest thing I found out so far is the versatility of the machine is amazing!

Is it a do it all one stop...maybe? that's yet to be proven but the reviews are great none the less!

Hope you enjoy your new machine and we look forward to your reviews!

I know what you mean Mike, I'm getting excellent depth here with the GT&i, which surprises some folks who say it has no depth. Now, it's not as deep as the C$, but it's not far off the mark. I'd say the C$ has a good two inches on the GT&i depth wise.

when it comes to detectors. Having bought, tried, and used most everything out there, (but not pretending to be an or any more of an expert than anyone else) frankly I haven't found a bad detector once you invest enough time to at least get your "brown belt" with it. Some are obviously better than others and depending on the individual's needs and taste, some are significantly better than others. I sorta group detectors into three "grades". One is good solid detectors. The next is exceptional detectors. The last are exceptional detectors that offer innovation that makes them perform "more different" than many of their predecessors. There are a few others, but I put the C$ and the T2 in that "hall of fame" last catagory. Hope you find the same thing after you get some time on your new T2. :)

That your 2 "hall of fame" detectors seem sort of similar, are known as very deep, & the only drawback may be possible RF chatter?
Since the C$ is my favorite, I'm anxious to try a T-2 now. RF has never stopped me from using the C$ yet...

I gotta admit, at least IMO, that the Explorer has been the one to compare all others to since they were released. Sure there were some early quality issues (hence the "Exploder" barbs from those that never used one but always had an adversary, er.. I mean "buddy" that used them so that was all the one person needed to be an expert ;) ) but it was a level of overall performance that pretty much was a raised bar. Even though I used Explorers a lot, I was ALWAYS looking for something else that could give it a significant run for it's money in at least one or more important handling characteristics, speed and depth certainly being a couple. THAT's mostly why I especially like the T2 and also the C$. I guess since I opened my big mouth on this hall of fame thing, I might as well finish it. The Sovereigns, CZ's, all and particularly the latest Treasure Baron are my other top picks in the TID department.
