Well, I got it!

UPS dropped off the ExpII last night around 6:30. A little late to do any hunting considering how early it get's dark, but I did take it out in the back yard just to make sure it works and it does :) Got a nice brand new coil and they even sent it back with a new battery pack (and batteries).

So, basically just 10 days from the time I sent it out to the time I got it. Now if I can only find the time to do a little hunting :)

...to go digging, please tell me where you found it so I can go too!:spin:

Now, if you can just get the Fisher back. Hey, do you ever hunt the beach at night? When I went to the beach I hunted at night and pretty much had it to myself. That was usually when the tide was out and I could look for jewelry. Didn't find ant though, but it was nice and peaceful.

as it is getting darker earlier here too. Heard and seen some new headband lights with 5 to 8 LEDs for lights - no more burnt out bulbs to replace and guess they put out lots of light too.

That is on one of my wish lists

Hoping you get out to give her a real test soon Joe.

I have one that my brother gave me as a gift. It's only the size of a quarter or so with one LED light... it clips to my baseball cap :)

You can't believe how bright it is! Unfortunately all the parks close at sundown... although I know a lot of guys hunt the beach at night They probably use a night parking permit (or fishing permit)

it takes those small bulbs used in the mini Mag flashlights. I never touch the bulb when replacing it but the bulb burns out within minutes of putting a new one in. That's why one of those LED ones is on my wish list - longer battery life and no more burned out bulbs. The ones I have seen so far are adjustable as far as how many LEDs light up. You can have say 5 of 8 light up or all 8 for additional light - but at sacrificing battery life.
Good to hear they give off great light. I saw one that said it was 'waterproof' - maybe strap it to the scoop so I can see what is going on under the water - or to attract fish
