It was a tough choice of replacing the C$ that I had to sell a month ago or try something new. I opted for something new so I went with the CZ3d since I aint tried one yet. I'll see how it rates with the CZ5 & 70.

But, I do miss my C$. So that will probably be my next one.

Great! And I'm getting my CZ70 next week or so. I'm selling my Coin$trike because I just can't get the hang of it. I used a CZ7A for a few years and miss it (wife now uses it), so I'm getting me the CZ70. :clap

You WILL love the CZ-70, particularly if you miss your CZ-7a. It's one great machine. I have one and will never get rid of it. As far as an all-purpose machine that can do it all and do it well, it's tough to beat. I'm still trying. And to that end, I had my first hunt with my new Explorer II today. Quite a different animal than the CZ, that's for sure. And I just might be "in love", but the CZ will always be in my arsenal. Enjoy yours!

Here's what I did today...

Good luck with your new toy...fisher has a novel idea with two modes one for new areas and one for old..Remember in advanced mode you might find different targets coming in different facets as its made to get more of the old targets...

(Imagine Darth Vader's voice here) Welcome to the dark side of the Fisher line Luke.

I think you will like it Mike. After you use it for a while, let us know how you think it compares to the 70 as that is the decision most want to make, 3D or 70 Pro. Remember this thing is for OLD sites, so comparing it in a new park setting isn't really comparing apples to apples. Take it to some old homesites, then let us know what you think.

since they replaced the CZ5 with the CZ3d. I have both the CZ5 & CZ70 and I can attest to the fact that eventhough the CZ70 is my all time favorite machine it is not quite as good as the CZ5 when it comes to coin huntin. The CZ5 will walk circles around the CZ70. Both are good, but the CZ5 is better.

So I hope that they didn't go and replace a great all around hunt machine with a sub-parr machine. I have heard mainly good things about the CZ3d and what I'm afraid of is like Dave said, its mainly for hunting old home sites and not an all around coin machine like the CZ5 is.If this is the case, and its too noicy when hunting newer sites then that would be ashame and I will mostlikely pass it on if thats the case, because I don't hunt a lot of old sites enough to warrant having a machine just for that purpose.

This is the reason that I liked the CZ5 & CZ70, they are versatile machines & not just for a specific type of hunting. So if the 3d performs as well as the CZ5, I will be very pleased. But I will give it a workout and see how it does here in Central Florida.

HH,
Mike
