Glad you got the Camera you wanted.

I got one a few weeks ago and I am totally in love with it. I bought a 70-300 zoom and so far I haven't had a chance to play with it yet. I had hoped I could use for my sons indoor soccer league but there just isn't enough light in there for high quality telephoto action shots. Great camera for us non-professionals, lots of room to grow with it. I recommend that you get Ben Long's book "Complete Digital Photography" second edition. Between reading the manual about ten times and reading Long's book I at least know why my photos did, or did not, turn out the way I had planned them. Have fun and make sure to post your pictures in here.
