Well here is a pic of my puny finds except for the prayer bracelet! My excuses are:.....

Too humid, grass too high, ground too dry and hard (I broke my probe trying to pry with it!) Too tired with no strength to keep detecting like I should! I found 12 quarters (One shiny new type---Virginia), 7 dimes, only one nickel and one penny! Total $3.76!! Lots of trash though! Really too tired and sore to hunt today, but hope whoever is detecting that they find lots of nice goodies! :)

God Bless!

Haven't dug any dirt lately... same problem here with the ground. No rain for the longest time and everything's like a rock.

That's one nice little bracelet  See? God has a way of saying "hello" even while you're metal detecting :)

Hope you start finding some good stuff soon and won't be long until cooler weather and hopefully wetter ground to dig! :)

God Bless!

I kicked it out of the wood chips but don't know for sure! The blue ends of the prayer part is enamel! It was the only thing I found in that playground and the newer quarter is the only thing I found in another one and nothing in any of the others, so someone is cleaning them out! I have a hard time seeing anything any more and need something stronger than what I have to check for marks and etc.

I use a White's Spectrum XLT which I purchased new in Nov 1994, so it is getting older like me! :D I had used my probe for years and it was great in popping out the coins but alas it's of no use now...broke off right at the wooden handle! Oh well so goes life will just have to look for another to use!

God Bless!

:cry:on my way back from my chiropactor i stopped off at a school i have'nt been to before. found 2dimes & 1QUARTER.PLAN TO GO BACK WHEN EVER POSSIBLE..GOD BLESS...HENRY

I went to a couple schools and detected - dug about 17 coins and my car wouldn't start. Checked the battery cables and one was corroded. Moved it around and the car fired up. . Took the car home and cleaned them and all's well but too late/getting hot to go back out. steve in so az

...you did good! I love the bracelet. Our ground is rock hard here too. I tried to dig a little around the house and gave up because it would take a jackhammer to break it up.

What kind of probe were you using?

Doug

started tying cords to my shovel and probe to keep from losing them. I end up dragging them once in awhile :) but don't lose them! I have another ice pick with a round wooden handle, and I use a hammer to flatten the tip of the pick, but the round wooden handle one was the best!

I've even thrown coins away when emptying my apron into the trash cans and also lost screwdrivers that way, so now I tie them to me and place my coins and finds in a Parmesan Cheese container, which fits nicely in my pouch and easy to drop coins in the 1/2 slot in the plastic lid! They hold a lot of coins, too, but of course I never have filled one up! They are the 8 oz size round plastic!

God Bless!
