Well Guys... It looks like theres a V3 in my future.........

I'll be making the purchase next month some time.. and going with the recommendation on using the 6x10 dd coil (instead of the standard 10 inch) especially for use on the salt-water beaches..... I just sold my explorer, (which in my opinion has been the absolute best detector I've ever hunted with on a salt beach)... I"m hoping to see similiar results with the V3... Alot of bells and whistles to work thru, ( a daunting task for certain )....Tried to read all I could about the unit, and working the 3 freqs on the whites should produce as good as the explorer..

I think you'll be very happy with it, but I've been corrupted by the great experience I've had with mine so far. :)

Great decision. I have used many detectors including the F75 and Etrac. I have to say the Vision is a great detector. Don't let all the features scare you. It's really quite simple to figure out. If I can do it anyone can. Good luck.

Mark I'll be getting to some Texas beaches in the next few weeks. From all the guys I keep in touch with the coil for salt water beaches is the 9.5 not the 6x10. I've got both and will be swinging the 9.5 when I go. Rob

If you could recall what settings worked the best for you, how deep were you retrieving targets, can ya hunt right to the water line with no chatter/falsing Etc....I'd like to hear all about it, if you don't mind ..

I'll be looking to hear from you.... and thank you.

Mark I said I was going to the beach. I haven't been there yet. Jason had some good posts using the 9.5 at the beach on this forum. On another forum George has also posted a lot on the coil at the beach. From what I read, chatter and water line was no problem with the 9.5. Rob
