Very nice detector, only minor problem: placed control box by arm rest, found out that could not open box with out hitting the arm rest ,so unable to replace the batteries without dropping the unit box.So just happened to find an extension straight shaft coverter on fee.bay.Got it in and works great----life warranty.Probably could be made at home:thumbup:
Before and after pictures.

Awesome, congrats. I had the tiger and loved it as I'm sure you'll love the sand!

Have you noticed a difference in balance, does it feel lighter? I was considering adding it to my Tiger Shark.

TO me its lighter up front, much easier if you have to change out batteries and making adjustments on the unit, pulse the headphones are much closer.

:clapping:Here are some better pictures of the Sand Shark and the "sharkey's straight shaft converter".

That looks good and makes access easier.

How does it affect the balance in the shortened dive (middle rod removed) mode?
