Well gas here is over $3.00 a gallon. What is it in your neck of the woods?

Hummm...I guess about 2.89 average right now for regulator...
Premium is over 3 bucks..

WE got a few places with those prices but disappearing fast. It's going to be a killer very soon. I may have to get a scooter to go beeping on.

Bill

It's about $2.88 in Central, N.C. - I was in Ireland last week, where it's $1.18 Euros/liter, close to $6 gallon.

I never thought I would be happy for $2.80, but it beats you, Will.

AND THERE IS NO SELF SERVE IN NJ!!

We in Grande Prairie Alberta Canada are paying $1.06 Can. / liter for the cheaper unleaded gas. I know you folks are in US Gal. and our Can. Gal. is a bit different, but works out to about 4 liter/Gal = about $4.24/ Gal.. Oh ya and we have gas & oil oooozing from the ground just like Jed Clampet on Beverly Hillbillies, only our Gov bends us over and tells us things are great in Alberta.:yikes::surprised::punch::stars::canadaflag:

Yes I know shouldn't complain, Ralph gave us a whopping one time $400.00 Can. to all Abertians:poke: no one else in Canada can boost that.:nopity:
The truth be know, between the Canadian Gov. & USA Gov. including those on the top of the pole, the whole scheme of North America is a huge conglomerate of legalistic bureaucracy that is set up to milk the middle & lower class citizens on this continent.
No matter what happens the Canadians & the USA citizens will alway be like one big happy family. Most people I know up here including me & mine have relative who are/live/work in the USA, so :beers::usaflag::canadaflag:
I thank you all for having tolerance for my rambling here & for those who are really are trying to help people in foreign lands. God Bless them.
One last thought on gas prices, they probably will keep increasing:cry:

For those who like exact numbers refer to CRC handbook for physics & Chemistry.

Here in the Sacranento area it's about 3.30 a gallon. And the way the cities are all sprawed out we have no choice but to drive. Its as if the land developers cater to the automobile. God how I would love to be car free!

Yeah that's the trouble with California. I used to live there but got out when it started getting mobbed. When I first went there in 1955 I thoght I had died and gone to heaven but that changed fast.

Bill

Oh yeah, I'm fully expecting $5.00 gas by summer. The oil companies are going to ream us until we hemorrhage and no one is going to help us. The politicians are all on their payroll. They'll eventually drive this country into the hole. The war against the middle class is in full bloom.

Bill

No self serve here either but price is jumping. There's a few places lower than $3.00. We always get hit hard. I'm going to have to buy a scooter.:)

Bill

Yeah in those countries and most of Europe 75% of the price of a gallon of gas is taxes. In one of the Scandinavian countries the tax on a new car equals the price. OUCH!!!

Bill

guess I'll just have to keep feeding the kitty then. I drive 600+ highway miles a week and having tried all the fuels available in the area, I get better mileage (about 2 mpg) and performance with the BP. At least that's how it goes in my hated Kia Spectra 5. If I were just puttering around town, I would switch to something else, but every little bit helps at 30,000 miles a year. Be glad when I can retire so I can quit buying a new car every 3 yrs.

I paid 2.87 for regular at Sunoco in Orion MI..The under powered Chevy S10 isn't too bad to drive now with the price of gasoline. Now on the otherhand if you were riding a horse $300.00 for board shoes all four $140.00 hay&grain $67.00 sawdust $32.50 plus vet care vacinations $60.00 tac care bug spray $10.00 and I'm sure I may have forgot something for the avg. monthly total cost 609.50. Now the cost of buying Sea Bucket isn't even included in this monthly average. Also is included a new hobby(the best part) shoveling. Ron

Sunoco, another Exxon company. They have such a monopoly now they have complete control and can charge what they want. Some reporter came across a memo from the CEO of Chevron to other execs stating that, " If the oil industry doesn't reduce its refining capacity it will never realize a profit."

That's why they haven't built any new refineries in over 30 years.

Bill

What kind of work do you do to put that kind of miles on your car? On some of the construction jobs I worked on I would tally up that much.

Bill

It got as high as 2.88 then started coming down. We have mostly Shell Oil and Marathon Stations here, But there is a privately owned company named Mutual that is always the lowest price in town. He calls all over looking for the lowest price for fuel delivery and adjusts his price accordinly. He knows how hard it is on the working man and does his best to help them out. Every now and then he drops his price .10 below the "Big Guys" Just to P@!#$SS them off. He is always the one to set the price around here as the "Big Guys" have to lower theirs to a couple sents above him to still get customers. My sister and her husband used to own a small gas station/partystore in the U.P. They finally shut the station down as they were only making about .02 on every gallon sold. Sad when the little guy gets killed off by the big refinery owned stations.
