I sold my Fisher F5 to tnrob and bought SC Dirt Fishers Coinmaster GT. I kind of wanted the MX5, but for the $135 difference, it left me in shape to buy another coil (I'm retired and not wealthy).

I wanted to get the NEL sharpshooter for the GT, but the add says good for Coinmaster, Coinmaster Pro, Prizm 1,2,3,4,5 and then it says (not for Coinmaster GT). Is this because of the TID? Can't figure out why Golddigger Detectors has this on the coil description. I like the SS on my F2 when I need a DD for better separation.

And Whites put out a lot of Prizms and Coinmasters. After markets coils are non existant.

The mx5 would have been what you wanted for sure The gt has few options for coils The mx5 and a bunch of factory and aftermarket coils that work great!

It would appear that even the NEL coils that work with Prizm/Coinmaster has issues on the CoinGT (According to GoldDiggersDetectors). And the BigFoot is no longer made. This makes the CoinGT options of a 4X6DD, the stock 9" Spider and a 8" 950. Glad I still have the Fisher F2 to have more options. Whites strict dealer exclusivity are, in some ways, shooting themselves in the foot, IMO.

It seems it's only sold in the UK.

The hunter works find on my CM GT.. Not sure what problem they have.. White Prizim 4x6 shooter is what I use on the GT with no issues.. well had issues with defective coils.. but not how they worked when they work;-) The Stock coil is never on my GT..is 80% Hunter and the shooter the other 20%

Hightone, give the GT a little time and you'll grow to like it alot. It behaves a bit differently than the Fisher.
It's a great little heater..... I love mine.
