I don't know if y'all got a bunch of rain but we sure did Tuesday. They say it broke all records for our area. Tuesday night I learned about hydrostatic pressure in my finished basement. Hydrostatic pressure for those who don't know is when the ground water raises above a basement floor level and water will come through any crack or open place in the floor or wall. I reckon it hit me pretty hard as to the tune of 160 gallons sucked out with a wet dry vac Tuesday night and 80 gallons Wednesday afternoon. I was pretty cool about this although I put in a pretty long night. I went in to work and man did the wind blow. I came home about 3 to finish cleaning water and found my big pine tree decided to take a nap. Too late to start on the tree Wednesday. I worked Thursday and took off at 3 to handle the mess. My tree killed my neighbors 25 year old camper top and 10 year old building. My insurance says I'm not responsible but I did get the tree off the building and out of their yard and told them I would help out with their deductible on their home owners. I reckon that's the least that I can do. Here's the carnage. Well, You're gonna have that. Flipper (about tired) out
