Well Crap!!! My Vision died, today. Now what.

Turned on my Vision to start hunting this morning and nothing. Had just put in a freshly charged battery pack. Tried my back up pack that had fresh batteries, and nothing. When I got home and in my garage, I noticed the backlight was on. Couldn't shut it off. Nothing would work. Took out the batteries and the back light went out. Nice start to a three day weekend. I looked through the manual and could find NO information on warrenty work. Went on the website and found nothing there either. I guess I'll have to wait until Tuesday and call the factory, I have to wait three days before I can even BEGIN the process of getting it repaird. Guess I'll have to dust off my trusy Fishers and use them. I know some of you have sent in your units for repair. What is the normal procedure? I've heard blowing reports on fast turn around time. Hope that's the case for me, as well.

Sorry to hear about your troubles,but if you go by my past experience,Whites will go above and beyond to take care of whatever problem should arise,and very quickly!
 
Hi Jimmy ....whites have the best customer service of any company i have ever dealt with. send it back and it will be back good as new before you can blink !!!
I had coil problems and they sent me out a new one without question with only two days hunting lost.

MMM...crappy weekend for you toy to go on the fritz. That is a tough one...do you have the use of another battery pack? (Doubt it's that though...) Sounds circuit boardy.

I sent my Vision in on a monday @ 2nd day Had a new spectra3 on Friday same week .call and talk to them. Super service Great people.Great Detectors! Yazoo
 
It is possible by tuesday it will work. I think It may be moisture .

keep in warm dry place and the batts out and try it on tuesday.

Said to send it in, which I did on Tuesday by priority mail. Cost me $31. US mail is getting outrageous. And they want to run health care. Anyway, I got delivery notification and they recieved it Thursday AM, so I hope it's back early next week. Curious to see if I'll still have all my settings, or if I'll have to start from scratch. I'm guessing it will be like a brand new unit. I'm having withdrawel without it. I'll post how my experience ends up being with White's.
