The delivery place is 25 min from my house.on truck around 6;00 clock got to my house after 12.Still i had to try it out, still cant give honest opinion yet.Took to back yard which i have been over a thousand time with every machine and coil i have. After about a half hour wet i get a signal penny dime pinpoint 6 inches start to dig run into root of tree, dig around it now there is small rocks finally locate it it is a Wheatie 19 56 0r 59,start to detect again and another signal penny dime 6 inches start to dig and start to run into small rocks pack together finally find coin penny 1960.Had to leave for a while went to beach .turn it on it run quite then it start to act up so all this time at beach iam a justing it sens up sens down disc up disc down coin mode prospecting mode relic mode everything i could think of,but it still works kind of good but don't know if i can trust what it is saying finally on why way back to car i try a little more turn threshold down wham it starts running smooth. If 6;00 clock is of in threshold i had mine set at 7 or 8 founds some coins while i was there.Went to schoolyard to a spot i cleared starts to rain it is getting late ,i pull in and there is a football practice so i go to another area and start my phone rings after i been the 20 mins, have to pick someone up.So i do that and come back it is getting dark find nickel and had to leave. So this week and weekend i will give a opinion now iam about 70 30 in favor.Only because my 6'' inch coil was the same way it took me a few days ti figure it out now i wouldn't trade it for anything well maybe top of line detector.

Totally awesome! And if there were older wheats in your own back yard, there might be other goodies too. Sounds like the coil is a "keeper". I'll have to give Larry's another try this weekend in private property. Thanks for the info and pics. HH to all, Nancy

That's great Fred, glade you got it. I bet you feel like a kid in a candy store. Good luck with it

Yes it runs so quite sometimes i think it is off.Has a lot to do with threshold and that i am use to using 6''ex coil in these areas and now, with the bigger coil i am picking up more targets at one time. Also my good set of headphone a wire came loose on one side so my son is going to fix it.Now i,am using a smaller set.But today i,am going to try and hit a couple spots.Very sensitive coil.Once i figure out what i need to do it will be great at the beach cover a bigger area than the 6''ex,it seem to hit nickels hard good for rings.I like to listen to threshold in certain areas for deep coins with it turned down i will have to see how it works, might be the headphone for now.I thought maybe it was noisy but as i was swinging stuff was flashing on the screen,it was not feed back just a lot of junk, but when it hit something good it lock on and sang out.Like the baron badge it locked on 50 usually they jump around 47 50 52 it just locked on enough to make me wonder what it was.Nancy do you have a list on numbers on old penny's nickel and dimes ect a lot of time i pass up zinc or the number 65 ect not sure if there old.One other thing you can notch out zinc in coin mode and relic mode when cherry picking, turn past letter a in hyper stat you will still pick up regular penny's and dimes and quarters, but zinc should be knocked out mostly for cherry picking when you are in a hurry.

My old 1859 Indian Cent (fatty) rang out at 30 out of the ground, it has some nickel in it (12%). But in the ground it was bouncing all over like other Indians do. I have seen most of the Wheat cents ring up at 74, but some have jumped up and down also. Depending on the soil conditions. Indian Cents...........they "JUMP" from 40's to mid 70's. But once you get to know your machine, you'll have a good idea of what the target is once you hear it. It's just a tad different on targets. Nickels come in from 18 (reg. nickels) to around 45. 45 would produce a war nickel (40% silver). A silver dime is almost always an 80, but sometimes it could be as low as a 77 depending on how thin it is. You know that old saying............"One thin dime". Well, that would be the one for the upper 70's. I hope that helps. I set my discrimination at 5 1/2 - 6 when first going over a private yard. Yes, "cherry picking". Then after going over it a few times I'll drop it down to 1-2 and dig EVERY deep signal! Good luck with your new coil and keep us posted please! HH to all, Nancy
