I decided with the warm weather coming to buy a set of the underwater headphones to use in the water with my AT PRO. I saw a deal and went for it. They came today and I hooked them up and they don't work. The sound still comes out of the detector NOT out of the headphones! I called Garrett right away and was told they are on back order for at least 2 WEEKS(maybe longer). I call the person I bought them from and he was more then happy to refunds my money plus the shipping cost back to him, but I would still be out of headphones!!( he had know more) so I decided to wait it out for Garrett to get new ones in and exchange them. Now I found out that the EARLIER water headphones don't work on the AT PRO although they're all have the same connectors. Go figure!! It's going to be a long 2 weeks or more. water season is getting close!!!

Some of the dealers that advertise here have the waterproof headphones in stock.

"Now I found out that the EARLIER water headphones don't work on the AT PRO although they're all have the same connectors"

Does that mean all the ones out there now don't work.?

Glad I have not bought a set yet.

Good Hunting

Just use the land ones and keep your head well above water or you could put a baggie over each cuff, tie it tight with elastics and hunt. A splash here and there shouldn't harm them at all. That should buy you some time until the water ones come into stock.

I was told by Garrett that the water headphones are out of stock and to call back in 2 WEEKS. I came home today to find a box on my steps. YOU GUESSED IT!!! This pair works perfect. three thumbs up fro Garrett.:thumbup::thumbup:

Out of curiosity, I swapped my Infinium Headset with the AT Pro's and the worked fine, plus the cord is longer and more limber. Still waiting for HP adapter from Kellyco. Still on first set of batteries, got a small 14k ring with a cross and a small diamond on top. Received the Gizmo today. I'm almost sure that the detector's. poor ergonomics caused me to have an inflamed shoulder muscle, that I had to go to the dr. for some relief. We'll see what happens.

I agree with John. I don't dive when hunting. But I do a good share of beach hunting. Wading into my chest. I never get my head wet. The stock phones are OK for me in the water. I just wish that darn adapter would get released. I like my RATS.
