Well, after retiring 8 months ago, and numerous trips and jaunts since......

I have determined that if i want to continue hitting the surf in Virginia and Florida as much as I'd like, I will have to do the unthinkable.
Yes, Homeland security will issue a scarlet firehouse red alert, but I'm going to reopen my Honest Jims appliance service and repair.
This is something I did back in the 80's when I was laid off for nearly four years, anc couldn't buy a job, let alone find one.
It was so bad here in the midwest if a pop can worth five cents was tossed out of a car window, it only bounced once before some poor devil had it, sometimes catching them in mid-air!!
Hope we never see days like that again!!
Anyway, I found reason to teach myself how to repair washers and dryers. plus, being an air conditioner serviceman, I already had the know how to work on refrigerators, freezers, etc.
I looked around the other day at a few job places, and its pretty slim pickings. None of the trades are hiring part time, and I didn't quit J.D. to work full time for less somewhere else.
SO........, a woman called me up yesterday, needing some ac repair. I ended up selling her a used window air for fifty bucks, and getting hers in trade.
Its sitting out in the garage, all repaired, cleaned, lubed, and waiting for its next owner.
Now, what will I do with the green stuff I make doing this part time??? $$$$$$$$$$$$$ !!!!
Well, you'll see me on south Beach in Miami, Virginia Beach, and who knows where else.
Plus, the exercise will keep me in good shape for the hunting!
Hate to admit it, but its good to have something to do again for a change. now I just gotta get my name out there again.:jump:
