Thanks Guy's!

Hello Rusty, and welcome Bob Santana!!! There is only one "best of reasons". The Minelab Excalibur 1000 is absolutely "the best of the best" in beach, surf and underwater detectors. The most experienced, and productive detectorists here, use the machine. That should speak volumes about why you should decide on an Excalibur Bob! It just simply works, and sees deeper and more accurately than the others. Well built, be-speaks quality in craftmanship, and warrantied by a company that cares about it's customers.

Oh, and I should also mention, that right now, before June 29, 2006, Treasure Hut is running the "Summer's Here" Special, that makes the Excalibur more affordable than ever before!

You can't go wrong with the Excalibur Bob!:minelab:

This unit goes deep, discriminates to allow you the choice to dig or not to dig and is a whole lot of fun for the money. This baby ain't cheap but you get what you pay for, I thought about going with a $500 detector and then moving up if I liked the hobby. Then I realized that I should either go for it or forget it, why handicap myself with less than the best and pay twice the money by slowly trading up to the machine I wanted in the first place.
Bought the Excal as my birthday present to myself and I'm glad I did.

Tell us what you want and expect.

The Xcal is for most purposes just a "wet" Sov, so most things you read about the Sovs here will apply.

I just purchased the Excal last week and have yet to get out to check it in the water, BUT, I was playing with it in my yard and after 33 years here and metal detecting with three different land detectors everyone of those years, I found in less than two minutes, two buffalo nickels and a silver plated dinner knife with the initials of the man who built this house in 1880. I can't wait to get in the water with it. I might add, yes it is expensive, and my wife doesn't even know I have it yet. I'm starting to drop dimes of my plans to buy a new one. You know how it is if you're married. It's worth the money and I haven't even given it the real test...:usaflag:

Hey bda, I'll bet if you put those on the scale they probably have just about funded your original investment. Remember, you have 2 platinums there right? That is an awesome haul for 6 weeks into yer rookie season. Keep 'em coming!

I own two (1 for me and 1 for my better half).

I would think the wholesale value of my finds at the moment would be somewhere around $3,500 based on 50% of retail, just based on gold prices I would have broken even for sure. Still sending mojo your way, hope it helps at madiero beach.

Every thing you see on this site with my name on it I found with an excalibur. I have water hunted the lake I live on for 30 years and still pull out the gold every time I go out. 30 years ago I had to dig iron and everything that was junk. It got the job done but now it is so Sweet. You will not regret it! Scott
