Weirdest find for me!

So, yesterday I went back to Hammond park, the place where I scored 73 coins in a small area, and decided to look around the other basketball/tennis court, I got a hard 99 on my Detector showing over 8-10 inches down in the dirt so of course excitedly I dug a small plug over the area and found the edge of an old License plate, a little upset but still determined, went to my truck and got the shovel out, and went ahead a dug it out, its a Black and White Kansas vehicle Tag 1948, is cool and will make good Garage Decor once I get it straighten & cleaned up!

Nice find, hope you can straighten it out without it breaking. I believe I'm close to your area. Was wondering if you ever detect around the lake?

I am in Junction City, Milford Lake? I have gone out to the Swimming area once with very disappointing results, have not been out there since

Yeah, I was thinking MIlford lake. Swimming areas produce alot of trash but when you find a gold ring, it is worth it. Try the camp grounds after a busy weekend, if nothing else, you will find a lot of clad.
By the way, I'm from Salina.

when you say 99 what machine are you using? I just get curious when someone posts numbers I always wonder what machine they are using.

I am using a Teknetics Delta 4000 with Stock 8" coil at the moment, I also have a 13" Ultimate coil that I use in large areas, Thinking of getting a 5" coil for parks and Trashy areas too, not sure yet
