Weird Day With Weird Stuff

Did a few swings at an older "home for wayward youth" yesterday for an hour and came up with an AA 1-month token and a couple of clad. I was sweating so a couple of extra beers were toasted for the token. Went out for about 1.5 hours with Butch near some old sidewalks today, but the heat/humidity and beers from the day before (for those of you from the South, a normal day; for us northerners, unbearable (not the beer!)...you win in this weather; we win in the cold) forced us to quit early. Bunch of clad but here are a few of my finds. The best was a Navy ring which appears to be pewter(?) with no markings. I will do some research. Interesting cufflink...it's metal with a train picture. Appears to be a very cheap piece of bling. And some non-bling...a play coin "from" Argentina. It is not metal(!); Lord knows what left in the plug.

sounds like you were in Texas. I'm in Dallas. We started yesterday at 6 and gave up at 10, toooo hot

Yeh, some weird stuff but still, you got to swing today at least.

With all I drank last night and the heat as it is I'm afraid to out! LOL
Maybe later when everyone leaves the river area I can drag my
wife with me to take a dunk and try for some rings...

Nope; New York. You know, home of Pace mexican sauce! HH

Hey aj after I dropped you off I ended up poolside with cocktails the rest of the afternoon. Much better way to beat the heat than digging in the dirt. Good morning though and some cool finds.

looks like some great stuff there. That's the part I like the most about this hobby, is the different stuff you find. Stuff you couldn't come up with ahead of time if you were guessing. Don't get me wrong, I'll take all the gold, silver and old coins, I can get, but it's the unusual that really gets me stoked. Artie
