Live in Tampa, Florida area, and this is my first time on the forum with my baby gold. Got to do some last minute "window shopping" before X-Mass (cheap huh?) then I'll get back onto the forum.

O.K., it's been 30 minutes and no one has responded to my message, so I'll write back to myself. Dear Marky, get a grip on yourself boy! Thank you for all those that let me know that the Excall is a great detector for saltwater. Merry Christmas.

The Excalibur 1000 is a very nice detector. I had the older Excalibur the one with the blue sword on the side. It had a 8 inch horse shoe coil. It has worked very well for many years. Found alot of nice items with it.:yikes:
I use it as a back up now or in area's with alot of trash. I now use a White's PI Pro. I dig more trash but get a little more depth. Plus it's so light I can swing it all day :detecting:
You made a good chose. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

HH & Merry Christmas
