Weekend's finds plus whatzit............................

[attachment 26490 lulu.jpg]Got some diggin in this weekend and need some help with a whatzit, my first inclination was that it was some sort of belt buckle due to the teeth that swivels - anyone else have any ideas - the only wording on the item is on the back and states, "PAT. That's a fine variety of finds & ya gutta love the silver!
I think that's a fancy suspender clip. At least that's what I've always called them, as they surface alot at the cellar holes we search that date to after the turn of the century....
