Nice digs Dave. You and I are on the same page with everything you posted:clapping: ...EXCEPT one.

Those finds ARE something to brag about.:) Very meaningful when you sniff some goodies out of trash or iron.

Nice Finds! What size coil did you use ? Could you pick up finds like that with a 10" stock coil on Explorer ll. That is the smallest coil I have.

Very nice post Dave.:clapping: Once again it just goes to show that a place is never comepletely hunted out if you take your time and still be able to find some good stuff hidden in and around the trash. HH.

I'm using an 8 inch coil most of the time for hunting trash. I also have a 5 inch coil that works even better but I have to be in the mood to use it. It takes a mind numbing amount of patience. You can pull a few goodies out with the 10 inch stock coil but you will miss quite a few targets. Set your sensitivity down between 10 and 14 and your recovery filters to "fast On", "Deep Off". You will also want to set your discrimination pattern up with only the far left side of the screen blacked out or simply use an Iron mask setting of -10. You will need your brain to sort out all of the tones but after digging a few coins, you will learn what to listen for.

Good Hunting!
