Weekend Silver Finds

Here are my silver finds from a hunt this past weekend:

4 Mercury Dimes
1 Washington Quarter
1 small childs silver ring (my 4th)
1 old crucifix
1 heafty 24" Silver Italian Chain
2 Buffalo Nickels
lots of crusty clad (not pictured)

I cleaned up the ring and crucifix, but need some advice on cleaning the links of the chain. Was definitely my best hunt in quite a while.

I read your post, great silver finds. I've attached two photos of a silver chain also 24". I used a high speed wire buffing wheel. Tried a chen bath and the like but nothing worked but the wheel. Good luck in cleaning....

I hit it yesterday afternoon - got a couple dozen coins including two V nickels and an 1898 Indian. No silver, though  Lots of nice sea glass though! And the gulls had their fill of surf clams

for a few hours with a little ammonia, water, beach sand, and baking soda. Works fairly well and you don't have to stand there holding it the whole time

Those guys are unbelievable!

Last year after a storm, Beach Hunter came up with a huge gold ring that I had walked over and missed with my coil... I think he followed me around purposly the rest of the hunt getting all the goodies that I was missing.

You did an awesome job on some of the rings you found and perhaps you could take a better picture of my ring finds to post here... my pictures always come out blurry.
