I traveled south a couple states to meet up with Mark S.E. IA on Saturday. We hit a few area parks and had a great time and both got some good finds.
I ended the day Saturday with 28 old coins (5 silver dimes back to 1898, 2 wanna be silver war nickels, 17 wheat pennies back to 1909, 1 1889 indian head I gouged, 2 jeff nickels (1947,195:geek:), a silver ring and a religious pendant.
Mark is good with his machine & knows how to read a site well. Nice SLQ find and congrats on the silver Mark! I hope you wiped the drool off that 1881 Silver dollar you showed me :)
I ran into some good finds on the trip down and on the way back. One of the rings is stamped 10K gold. I was also surprised to pull a National Defense Medal.

I got to say it was nice meeting up with you and doing some MDing, you sure did kick but,,,, I only got a total of 11 old coins, 5 silvers and 6 wheat's. I'm glad to hear that you did real good on your way home Sunday. I sure like that National Defense Medal.

I got to say, I've never seen a guy swing a Etrac as fast as you do with that 13" coil and pop the old coins out of the ground like you did Sat. What ever program you use sure does work for you...

Congratulations on the finds and meeting up with another detectorists. It sure makes it fun! Thanks for the pictures.
