Got out for a few hours in the morning Saturday and today while everyone slept in. I found plenty of clad to keep me busy Saturday first stop was a sand volleyball court with the cleansweep coil on the DeLeon it took about an hour to cover four courts nothing to exciting I found little over a 1.00 in clad. Next stop was the soccer field here I dug a lot more clad and lots of pennies here's the goods from Saturday

Sunday I stayed close to home and hit the local baseball fields came away with a pocketful of clad on the way home I stopped at a local middle school here I was digging lots of nickels I only hunted for a couple hours this morning I had to get home and make breakfast for my family as my son was headding back to Fort Carson after being here for the last two weeks on leave. Here's this mornings digs

The best hunt was this afternoon, After my son left around noon I decided I would take the DeLeon with the stock coil to a nearby field so about 1:00 I walked the 1/4 mile to field the plan was hunt til I found silver. before I knew it I saw it was almost 4:00 wow time flies when your having fun but I needed something to keep me occupied now that both my boys are gone I figured it was time to get back home and I still had not found silver I did find three wheat pennies 1945d,1948s,1950s I was almost out of the field and I decided to check around a old tree stump. Here I got a deep silver signal the D read silver at 9" but the grass was pretty long I started digging a plug I pulled the plug out checked it nothing rechecked the hole yep still down there and still deep we have had a little rain lately so digging was easy I broke up the dirt all around the hole pulled it out a hand full at a time and ran it over the D still nothing I rechecked the hole again still down there I drove my big screwdriver deeper and broke up more dirt this time the second handful rang out I opened my hand and there in the middle a Mercury dime I didn't know what date it was I dropped t into the container I carry for silver coins and thought good now I can go home! Of course I ran the DeLeon around the the stump one more time you just never know right, nothing else when I got home I checked the Merc. and saw it was a 1943 and in pretty good shape anyway here's the goods from this afternoon.
