Weekend hunts with the A T Pro.:garrett:

Well, I have one full week of hunting under my belt with the A T Pro and she seems to be performing very nicely. This weekend I hit one old inner city park and then on Sat. and today after church hit an old V A hospital site. Yesterday with a couple of buddies of mine. I got the 53d Washington from the park and that was a rather pleasing find. I was working my way through an iron patch and got a high tone whimper. Tried to pin point and kept pin pointing the iron that was surrounding the hit. So, dug the whimper and from 5" popped the silver quarter. Nice to know the A T is as good in iron as its reputation. I got the 56 Rosie yesterday along with 5 wheat cents. Today, I got the 49d Rosie, 35d Buffalo, 43p war nickel, 1 wheat cent and the Military pendant. I suspect it might be navy with the plane, ship and submarine on it. Finally starting to dig a few nickels. The A T Pro is a keeper, it certainly appears. Still running with the 5x8 DD coil in pro mode zero, 8 sen and playing with iron on and off. have to get the 11 incher on it and see how it performs. Hope everyone had a great weekend. HH jim tn

No other word, but, NICE. I share your excitement. You have a great machine there.

Dang nice finds! So I gotta know, what vdi # do war nickels give?? Thanks and congrats on the sweet finds!

BootyHunter, this one was 51/52. Every vdi machine I have ever had reads them just about exactly as a regular nickel. HH jim tn

Good Job!!.................................:clapping:

I dug the identical medal. I think it was for serving in the Pacific theater WW2.

Good huntin', Jim! You sure pulled a nice pouch of silvers and that war medal is cool, too!

Ytcoinshooter, I believe you are right. I will have to look in my stash, but I believe I dug the same medal a few years ago at a demo Navy housing site. Thanks everyone, I really am enjoying the A T Pro. Great in trash, gets good depth and i d's very accurately. A whole lotta bang for the buck. HH jim tn
