Weekend hunts, but you don't win every time

Fortunately, we had a dry and gorgeous weekend, which means time to swing the coil. Got out with a few friends and hit some old dirt. I did find a 6-coin pre-1964 coin spill, but all 6 coins were wheat cents! Must have been a kid. TID readings were a little wacky at one site; I dug a Barber dime that read 12-39, a Washington quarter that read 12-44, and several wheats that came in at 12-45! Bizarro world, I guess. I also found a dropped .58 caliber Civil War carbine bullet, and a Sterling silver ring that had an unfortunate encounter with a lawnmower. It is a lady's ring, and cane in at 12-34. We slayed the wheats at the sites, and other than the silver pictured, Matt also dug up a worn 1897 Barber quarter. Not a bad Saturday.
