Weekend Hunt

A weekend hunt along the river. There used to be an old General Store in the vicinity. If I need any sinkers for fishing I know where to find them. The soil was sandy so stuff was pretty deep 6 inches or more. HH Wolfman

You know if you think about it, everyone is worried about finding this year this and this year that, it is really just amazing that you can go out in the space of a couple hours and find a pocketful of change, well having a good time. Get paid to have fun. That sounds like a good deal to me.

Nice finds Wolfman. What coil were you using? What VDI's did you get on the lead sinkers. HH AF

The bigger 1 oz sinkers read a dime penny don't remember the VDI. The 1/2 oz read zinc penny screw cap and split shot was VDI 18 dead on nickel. It is neat how one can go almost anywhere someone else has been and find something even clad. I hunted near a railroad track next to an old park a couple of weeks back and found pieces of copper and zinc all flattened out. Must have been the penny on the track trick. I am really enjoying this hobby. It is very relaxing for me. HH
