Weekend hunt nets gold

We stopped at a house we wanted to hunt and a neighbor came over wanting to know what we were doing. After we chatted for a while I asked him if we could hunt his yard between the sidewalk and road and he say "that's fine" then he said we could hunt his entire yard if we wanted to. I was really surprised because his yard was just plain gorgeous let alone the oldest house in town. We were very careful with each dig but just goes to show you can get a yes when it is least expected, it is just a numbers game. We got about 5 No's in a row so persistence pays off. We ended up hunting several spots and got some ideas for a return trip too.

I dug a lot of "iffies" over the weekend but one turned out to be a solid 14K gold case watch, a first for me. The other gold watches I have found over the years were plated or gold filled. A small but old watch and the only lettering I can make out is "Swiss".

A very old ring, a 1936 dog tag, a 1903 IH, some wheats, a token and TWO Princess Pat rouge compacts and a handful of clad about rounds off the weekend.

Congrats on the gold. Heck, Congrats on being able to get out for a hunt. :detecting:

Here's the beautiful home and lawn that we detected. Sorry, the pictures don't do it justice.
