Weekend hunt gets me a bucket list find

On Saturday I hunted an old school that has been pounded over the years. Ended up finding 9 wheat pennies 1918 - the 50s and a 1892 Indian head.

On Sunday I hunted along the river where and old water powered factory sat. I found 3 wheat pennies 2 in the 40s and one in the 50s But I found my first shield nickel 1867. She's toasted and I don't care its nice to have that marked off the bucket list.

Congrat's on your first shield nickel. Those are really hard to find.

Good job on nabbing that shield nickel. They don't come up very often. I believe the first one I ever found was 1867 also.
its good you were able to get a year off it.
