Weekend Highlights: I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life

Despite the drizzle and wet dirt in Upstate New York, I managed a couple of hours at an old school and church. Got a bunch of clad and several Wheaties, and lots of Canadian pennies. All of the Canadian pennies were new except for the 1907 Large Cent pictured. I was really excited about the 10 cent token for the Garland Hotel (aluminum) and the back cover for a pocket watch. It states "Fine Silver"! The elongated bracelet thingy states, "Shirley" on one side and "Spiegel" on the reverse. But my find for the weekend was the aluminum Christian pendant with Jesus' picture. Amen.

I am not a token expert; are aluminum tokens newer than those made of other medals? Just curious about the age of the 10 cent one.

Nice finds Andrew, I ended up working all weekend. :ranting: Hopefully I'll get a chance to get out next weekend.

looks like an awesome haul, congrats. Artie

That was a productive hunt, Andrew! You managed most of my favorite categories, but no toys or marbles??
Cool spur and token!

So that starred thing is a spur? I was wondering what it was. It's heavy and rather decorative.

I'd say it's a spur- you always manage to dig some nice keepers.
