Weekend finds

Went back to were I found five wheat penny's last weekend. Came away with seven more wheat penny's, that's 12 Wheaties for this small and very trashy yard.No silver but the fat lady has not sung yet. Found three little flower like things made of copper and brass in the same hole I believe they are from some sort of jewelry, very interesting! Four toy cars ( I always like to find them) John Tyler coin need to research this one a bit never saw one before. A key ,sinker and few dimes ,penny's. This yard is incredibly hard to hunt junk targets side by side by side all thru it, I can only handle it for a couple hours at a time.

I am going to put some better pic's of the flower jewelry thing on the whatsit forum to see if I can find anything more about it.

Got to be some silver there, keep at it. You are definitely in a promising spot.:clapping:
I have found a couple of those presidential coin/tokens with the short fact/bio on the back. The ones I have are for Teddy Roosevelt and Clinton, but I'm not sure who made or distributed them.

Yep, I really thought after the 10th wheatie I was going to find silver. Hopefully this weekend:)

A local city Park that was at one time a ball field did not yield but one silver coin the first time that I covered it. Started going back and working it slow and very carefully and it has yielded 5 silver dimes. Wondering how many more I may have missed. Get all the clad, wheaties etc out of the way and the silver may show its face.

Mark are you using a TDI ?

No. I use a Whites XLT. I am using a modified C/J program in mix mode at this spot seems to be the only way I can here good targets in this trash laden yard. Digging all high tones for now.

They might be covered... Pick a nice 2 x 2 square yards and clean it out completely. If more good stuff comes out, keep it up in the remaining area. Only then will you know if there's a dime or quarter stuck under the dirt and/or garbage. When I hunt a field for the first time, I walk straight across it, then a little zigzag. If I find something good, then I start hunting in a pattern covering the whole field. If I don't I usually still go on hunting the field, but going all around the perimeter near the stone walls. Hilltops and areas along the stone walls are the best zones I've hunted. Near cities, in parks with big trees and trails, I've found alot of stuff buried right next to the trees. You also have to check areas where there once used to be big trees.

Thanks for the tip Fabio. I did pull a silver quarter at this spot this weekend. I just posted pic's of the finds there this weekend.

Hey Mark. I dug this Harding token from the same series Friday afternoon 7/24. It came from a field in Ct. I also posted it to Danburytreasure re his Washington token which he found the same day.
He mentioned your find in his post.
