A detecting buddy and I took Friday off and headed to Kansas to detect for the weekend. We detected some old city parks I had researched prior to the trip.
Temperature was great. Mid 50s approaching 60. Ground was stiff but very diggable. We had to work pretty hard for what we pulled at a lot of sites but ran into some old coins.
I ended the trip with 42 old coins. Indians are 1890,1900. Nickels are 1923,1930, 1941. Wheat pennies are back to 1913.
I dread winters and this trip with the great weather and a lot of exercise broke it up nicely.
