Had a good weekend again. Went out for about 3 hours both Saturday and Sunday and found a total of 16 wheaties ranging from 1917 to 1957, 1 1964 silver washington, 1 2 ring mini-ball that dad found by eyesight while looking for arrowheads and my first ring with the new machine. It's a 14K mens wedding band found along a side walk near a house that was recently torn down. Also one big square nail just to hold the ring up. The best part was that I learned a great deal about my detector this week from digging so many signals. I had a pretty good week overall.

Good job! What machine? Was the nail masking any of the finds?

I was using a GTI 1500. The nail wasnt masking anything, just needed something to hold up the ring and it's a pretty big nail.

Indeed hearing good signals and digging them speeds your learning process..One wonders how many gold rings are gone over cherrypicking high coins..Know a woman that digs the two squares below nickle and this summer in local parks the old GTA500 produced two nice diamond rings..Of course dug a lot of foil and beavertails also...

Nice finds. I've got several of those wedding bands. Finding one of those really makes your day.
