Weekend finds

I have been looking for a pickett post on the Saline river for almost 2 years. And I found it Saturday. I found where the picketts guarded the crossing on the river but am still looking for the camp. The silver ring and D-buckle,I think is gonna be close to where the camp was located also found a couple of bullets. The ring looks like a womans wedding ring and is one of my favorite finds so far. The ring makes things a little more personal and puts things into perspective, for me anyway. The long lead objects are fishing sinkers the picketts made by hammering out round pistol balls and rolling them up around their line. There is one sinker that appears to be made from a carved pistol bullet that has had the ends cutoff and a knife blade driven about half way through so the line could be crimped in it. I like it when things start to work out. The big bullet is an Enfield...d2
